Zende, creator of his own style, owes his sources of inspiration only to his culture, so Persian in its foundations, so intense in his exile.

His painting looks like his own life. He tells the story of Persia, its invasions and the destructions that followed. Through his works he accomplishes a sort of virtual return to the land, an unceasing pilgrimage, an endless cycle of return and return.

Zende uses calligraphy solely for his form, for his expressive gesture. Thus, under the appearance of a writing that seems traditional to the profane, he creates an illegible inscription, a simple plastic formulation of this writing, without respect for the strict rules of the calligraphy - secular art, without respect no longer for the signification of words, purifying then the sign of all sense, sublimating it.

Zende, the poet and lover of poetry, draws on Persian classical literature to choose poetry that he particularly appreciates, but also in his own texts and, like Chinese painters, inserts them into his works. Here too he plays his talents as a visual artist, and makes them very difficult to decipher : stretching, coloring, gilding, everything is good to mystify us.
